ATHENA's Story...
My name is ATHENA and I'm a 3 year old, spayed female Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier mix. All my shots are current and I've been microchipped. I'm tri-colored with a smooth coat. I'm completely housetrained and crate trained, and I ride well in the car. And I'm quiet and well-mannered! No kids under the age of 6 years, please. And I need a house with a fenced yard, so no apartments, condos, or townhouses without a nice yard for me to play in! I get along well with male dogs, but have never been around cats - so we don't know if I would like cats or not! I've been heartworm/ehrlichia/lyme disease tested with all results negative. My adoption fee is $300. Please call Sue at 480-391-9837 or email her at rescue@jrtconnection.com and ask for an Application for Adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ATHENA, a Scottsdale Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
