I am up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
I'm a gorgeous chocolate lab/husky ( My Foster Mom believes there is also some cattle dog in my lineage) mix looking for my furever home! I have a very loving personality. In fact, I love everyone I meet- people AND animals. I love to give kisses and love to play in the yard with the other puppies. I am very energetic and when I am happy my whole bottom wags! I love to play in the yard, chew on bones and I love doggie cookies! I can play for hours outside with toys. I'm crate trained but I prefer to be with people as much as I can. I sleep in my crate every night and in the morning when I wake up I love to give hugs and kisses to everyone to say good morning. Did I mention I love to give hugs?!? I am a very obedient girl. I am also highly intelligent. I have learned to sit, down, shake, spin and working on learning more. I am responding wonderfully to the clicker training my two legged sister is teaching me. I am a very active girl. I prefer to be running around the yard, house, playing with toys, learning new things or just hanging out with you. I do require an active owner.
Age: 6 mo old as of 5/1/2013

Rescue Group Info...
Our Purpose is:
To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities
To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"
To help educate the public on proper animal care and promote spaying and neutering of all pets
To provide medical treatment for animals in our care
To provide foster homes for animals in our care
To place rescued animals in permanent, loving homes
To build and maintain a facility to house rescued animals and host adoptions.
To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
