My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet RUFUS, a darling 7-mo old boy just coming into rescue. Rufus is very playful, has tons of energy but is easy to handle. This boy is a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle. With his partially floppy-ears, his face is totally endearing! As with most shepherds, Rufus will need a cat-free home. He appears fine with other dogs and is a little shy at first with them. He quickly warms up to people, however. Rufus comes when called, and is quickly learning basic manners to be a good boy. Because of his young age and energy level, he will need an active home who will exercise him daily and get him enrolled in obedience right away. All-in-all Rufus is a super sweet, intelligent, wonderful dog who will make some lucky person (or family) a devoted pet. If you are interested in meeting Rufus and providing a loving, forever home, please complete an adoption application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. The adoption donation ranges from $150 to $450 and is based on the age of the dog. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care, and adoption of our dogs. Adoption fees may be tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations and are microchipped.
