Portia's Story...
** Available Jan 16 ** Hello, my name is Portia and I'm a 2 year old Shepherd mix. I'm a very pretty girl with a lovely personality. I love to get visitors and I greet everyone with a big wag of my tail and a pretty smile. I love company so much that I whine when you walk away. I can't wait to have a family that I can be around all the time. I'm a little scared of the leash, but I can learn. I sure hope you come meet me so you can see what a great girl I am!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Portia, a McKinney Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
