CESAR (A18933078)
Meet Cesar! This handsome hunk of love found his way into the shelter
when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Cesar is a
gorgeous 1-2 yr old Cane Corso that would love nothing more than to be
in a home with a loving family again. He thinks the shelter is pretty
scary, but once outside of his kennel Cesar opens up and has proven
himself to be quite a sweet and gentle giant. Cesar loves to nuzzle
his big head into you for some head scratches and enjoys just hanging
out away from all the noise with his shelter friends. He has also met
a couple of dogs and seems to be very comfortable and friendly with
them. If interested in adopting Cesar, please bring any resident dogs
or children under 12 into the shelter with you to meet him. Thank you
for your interest in this big, sweet fellow!

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 32,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
In addition to animal control and sheltering, ACCT Philly is open 365 days a year for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly also supports a foster care program where community members provide temporary homes for sheltered animals and one of the (if not THE) most extensive rescue partnership program in the country where approved rescue partners accept ACCT Philly animals into their adoption programs. Under contract ACCT Philly’s Animal Control Officers provide animal control services and code enforcement. Other exciting ACCT Philly programs include a food pantry for low-income pet owners, a vibrant volunteer program, trap-neuter-return for community cats, a unique Pen Pal program to assist dogs at risk … and so much more!
Our shelter is open weekdays, 1pm – 8pm, and weekends, 10am – 5pm for adoptions. 8am-6pm daily for foster.
