I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Junebug's Story...

This dog is located and fostered in Crossville, Tennessee.  Sponsored adoption to approved home!

Meet Junebug…a sweetheart of a Rottweiler (maybe with English Bulldog) mix.  She’s about 4 years old and a lover.  She used to be afraid of men; but now she doesn't care what gender you are, so long as you approach her calmly and spend time with her.  She sits quietly for neck rubs by kids and adults alike or will roll to her back for a relaxing belly rub.  Mornings are great fun, as the motor for her little stubby tail goes into overdrive while she clamors at the door to be let outside.   Housetrained, microchipped, and up to date on shots, she may pull on a leash but doesn’t fight it—and she sits on command as fast as you can say the word.  Sometimes she will even play fetch with you!

Junie is gentle about taking dog treats and doesn’t protest if you stick your hand in her food bowl.  She isn’t fond of most dogs, though she loves it when puppies meet her nose to nose through the fence.  Cats are a definite no-no, regardless of their age.

Gentle obedience training, exercising in a fenced yard, an adopter that has experience with her breed, and being the only pet in a family that enjoys her company inside the home would be her ideal.   Let Junebug be your next best friend!

Junebug's minimum adoption donation is sponsored, and no payment ($0) is due to A.A.R.F. for her adoption.  She has been fully vetted and is ready to go home with you. NO CATS, NO DOGS, please.

How To Adopt | Adoption Application | Pet Inquiry Form | Long Distance Adoptions

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Adoption donations vary and are subject to change without notice. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

About A.A.R.F. TN to NY Connection

About Our Rescue Group...

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue located in the Upper Cumberland Region of Middle Tennessee where animal control issues are out of control. A.A.R.F. is making a difference not only in the lives of these wonderful, abandoned and neglected animals, but also in our community. We encourage you to see the wonderful dogs and puppies that we have available for adoption – and the best part is that we have a local transportation company, P.E.T.S. LLC (as seen on Animal Planet’s “Last Chance Highway”) right next door!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter in the New York area. Therefore it is not possible to meet our rescues in person prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new families each week! The professional transport service is certified through the USDA. Our rescue dogs can be returned to us if things don't work out. We want each adoption to be for a forever home, so we try very hard to make sure it's the right match! Video conference meetings available and encouraged.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with the submittal of an Adoption Application online and a phone interview with one of our adoption coordinators. To be sure the long distance adoption is the right match for both the dog and family, we offer virtual video conference meeting for your new family member. Following verification and approval of your adoption application, we will arrange a professional transport of our new family member to your area. Our adoption donations range from $200-$300 depending on circumstances of the rescue dog, age, breed, etc. Professional transportation for your new family member is $150. We require a signed contract, driver's license and vet reference.
