Sam's Story...
"I am Sam and Sam I am. And yes, I'll eat green eggs and ham. As a matter of fact, I'll eat almost anything." If you have a heart for the Golden Oldies, then get ready to hop on this ole pop. Sam is an oldie at the Cocker Inn and is most likely 10-12 years old. He doesn't see or hear well but has a great sniffer which makes him a loyal follower. It doesn't matter where you are, he wants to be with you and can find you. He was adopted years ago from the Cocker Inn but was recently returned when his owner could no longer care for him. This guy is doggy door trained and still has lots of love to give. He just needs a new place to hang his hat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Houston Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
