My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sarah Jean is a sweet little girl, who was released from a breeder. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house, gets excited when her family comes home, and is curious and active. Sarah Jean has also discovered the joys of snuggling, and will lay her head on your arm to get pets and be held. Sarah Jean gets along well with other dogs, and will need an adoptive home that has one to continue her development. She is working on crate training, and is house, leash and potty pad trained. Ms. Sarah Jean just needs a furever family to complete her transition to cherished pet--can you provide this sweet little dog the lovely home she deserves?

Sarah Jean weighs 11 bs and is grey and white in color and 8 years young and active. Has cropped ears and docked tail. is being fostered by Jane and family in Pittsburgh PA area. Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them or potty pad train and work on potty skills. When your application is approved, you will speak with the foster Mom and can get more information about how far along the foster dog is in potty and social skills. Dogs learn quickly and most are pretty far along or trained by the time of adoption, however you should always expect some adjustment when moving any dog to a new home.

Sarah Jean's adoption fee is $295 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Spay, and if our vet deems it necessary a Dental with 5 extractions and medicines after surgery. In addition you receive lifetime prepaid Microchip registration. PLUS a DHPP annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. In season our rescue's are on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party. We send you home with a copy of all the veternairn's written vet paper work, dog training booklet, adoption paperwork, and tips. We give you training and support with adjusting with your new dog for life. PLUS our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills. Our adopters can join our private Facebook page and keep in touch with us.

We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs if it is leash trained, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (less than $60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT.

We are not a shelter our dogs are fostered in private homes in OH, MI and PA. You will need to submit a on line application to be processed to talk with the foster mom and come meet the new pet. We do not ship or transport our dogs you must drive to the foster home to meet the dog. We only adopt to adjoining states and people with less than an 8 hour drive to our foster homes.

Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers and benefit from the 9+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue. Questions, email us at ronsrescued@aol.com.
