Buddy's Story...
BUDDY, a 6 year old male Lab mix is STILL PATIENTLY waiting for a forever home! Buddy has been at the shelter the LONGEST - over 1 year! He is heartworm negative and very healthy. Buddy is smart, playful, loyal and gets along well with other dogs! We don't know how he gets along with cats because he isn't near them at the shelter. No one can understand why he hasn't been adopted long ago because he is such a sweetheart. Buddy is handsome, too, as you can tell from his pictures. Buddy is in Madison, Mississippi but transport to New England can be arranged through Animal Rescue Front. If you are interested in taking Buddy into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http//

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Groton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
