Hi, I am Spryte. I am not sure what breed(s) of dog I am but I should grow up to be a medium to large sized dog. I am friendly, outgoing, playful and just totally enjoy life. I get along with other dogs, cats (although I still like to pester them a bit) and just everybody I meet. I am bold and outgoing and would love a family that will take me places and keep this exciting adventure going. I am good friends with my foster buddy labs so I am used to other big dogs and just love playing with them. Did I mention I have one blue eye and one brown eye? I am told I have a twinkle in my eye and my personality is just as bright as my blue eye (which is pretty bright!). I am very smart and a very quick learner. I already know the basics of sit and down and my foster mom promises to keep working with me! I already know to sit before my food dish hits the floor – isn’t that neat? If you want to teach me other new things all you have to do is offer me treats – I think learning is wonderful!
I am crate trained and sleep all night in the crate. I am not quite house trained but I am getting better and just need a little more work like other pups my age. I happily go in my crate at night because I get a treat. I ride well in the car, crated, and am getting used to walking on a leash, going places and visiting all kinds of other people and dogs. When I was left at the shelter I just never knew life could be so exciting!
I am up to date on my shots, neutered and microchipped and just can’t wait for a new home who wants a bright eyed girl like me.
Rescue Group Info...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
We have many wonderful dogs and cats looking for FORever Homes!
Our adoption fee covers their complete age-appropriate vetting, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/flea prevention, and full medical records.
Please email us at info@FORrescue.net for an application to begin the adoption process.
