Peachy's Story...
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID

Hi,
My name is Peachy and I decided to write you this letter myself. I REALLY LOVE PEOPLE. I am a very gentle cat that wants to just crawl up in your arms or lay on your lap and go to sleep or have you hold me. I am very happy and content to just be in the same room with you and am very personable and great company. I need you to keep me inside the house as an “only child” or with other cats like me. I have FIV which is also called Feline AIDS. FIV is not transferable to people, dogs or any other type of animals besides other cats and then only through a bite or a scratch. Cats like me can and do live long, healthy lives by being inside where we are safe, warm, and not exposed to other cats’ illnesses.
My shelter used to be under a car on cold, damp earth with no grass in zero degree weather and below. Some people that love cats came and built me a little shelter with down blankets because I was crying and telling them I was extremely cold and lonely. These people helped me and got me fixed (that wasn’t much fun). Unfortunately, they already have other cats and health problems of their own so they asked Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to help them find me a new home.
If you will love me forever I promise to reward you with kitty kisses, lots or purring and unconditional love!
Your friend FOREVER,
Peachy

P.S. Fuzzy Pawz wants you to know this stuff about me:

Peachy is a 2(ish) year old domestic short hair. Peachy is very sweet with people and is good with children! We are unsure of how he is with dogs but Peachy does need to go to a home without cats as he is FIV positive (kitty aids). Now don’t let this scare you off, all it means is that he needs to have no contact with other cats – it is NOT transferable to people, dogs, birds, etc. It does not mean he will not live a long and health life – many cats with FIV live long into their mid teens.

Peachy is neutered and vaccinated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peachy, a Boise Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Boise, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
