Facts about Jolly Roger

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Jolly Roger was found hiding in a yard. He wanted to come to people but was frightened so we had to trap him. He appeared to be used to people, so he may have been dumped or lost. He was so afraid when people would raise their hand that we wondered if he had been struck for biting and playing rough.

He did play rough but with a little training and distracting him with toys he soon outgrew it. He is a sweet boy who does not come and jump in your lap; he comes and stands up patting you with his front paw for attention. A new home will be strange and he will need time to adjust to new people. With love and time, he will be a great addition to a family.

He is a wonderful cat but does prefer the quiet life. He has not been around dogs at all and children only for a short time. Jolly is neutered, FELV/FIV negative, vaccinated for FVRCP/Rabies.

About Homes for Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal lovers who volunteer our time and talents to help homeless needy pets find new homes. Many of our pets come from life or death situations, or abusive situations. Some pets come from city shelters. We also list animals that are still with their owner, but for one reason or another the owner can no longer keep them. Our dogs and cats live in foster homes, not in a shelter. You don't have to wonder if a dog or cat is good with kids, or other dogs or cats. You will usually know if they are. We work on housebreaking and basic manners as well.

ALL of our animals, even those we list for owners trying to re-home their pets, must be spayed/neutered to help control the serious animal overpopulation in this area.
