Ellie Mae's Story...
Ellie Mae's Story...
Ellie Mae was just rescued - she is VERY sweet and well-mannered. Quiet! She is adorable, just needs to lose a few pounds - quite overweight, but we'll be walking and going on a diet. She was abandoned and found wandering ... taken to the shelter. She is happy to be on a comfy dog bed now! Ellie Mae is looking for a forever home and really doesn't need much except for love and kindness.
I rescued my first dog in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina - I went there with HSUS and when no one came back for one special greyhound/shepherd I met there, I sent for him and we lived happily together until he passed last year. My heart goes out to every pet in a shelter. Whatever the reason they're there, it isn't good. I love to break them out, get them cleaned up and loved up until they can trust and be happy again. I only wish I could take them all.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We can arrange meetings anytime - just email or call. We'll also have a booth from November through April every Sunday at the Bridge Street Market on Bradenton Beach, FL.
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption fees are $100 for adult dogs, $150 for puppies. Cats, $50 and kittens, $70.
We do have an adoption contract. We do require a home visit and often, follow up visits, depending upon the pet's needs. We visit with and get to know potential adopters and work with people wanting to give love and a home to our rescued darlings.
