Marley's Story...
Marley is healing from being hit by a car and has a fractured pelvis. She just needs some rest time for a few weeks and will be good as new! All of her medical needs have been met, she just needs some quiet time. Even though she has this fracture, it does not slow her down or put her in a bad mood! Marley uses a doggy door, is calm, loves kids and other dogs, and is gentle and sweet. Her $85 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and 1st month's flea/tick & heartworm preventative. Please complete an adoption application at www.sarocks.org, or email adopt@sarocks.org if you would like to make this dog part of your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a San Antonio Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Greyhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
