Emerald's Story...

Almost Home Animal Rescue

Emerald is a Miniature Poodle, Female, 10 Yrs. Old.
Emerald is a feisty little girl despite her age, a tiny bundle of joy, she loves to give kisses and snuggle. She will make someone the perfect companion. She is blind in her left eye due to a cataract, but that doesn’t stop her from being  playful, She gets along very well with other dogs. Her favorite toy is a pull rope.  Emerald has very healthy, clean teeth and has had no health issues since she’s been in foster care. She is crate trained, and is housebroken.

About Almost Home Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Almost Home AR is dedicated to the rescue and care of dogs and cats and finding them safe and loving homes in Los Angeles and San Diego and surrounding areas.

We rescue from shelters, and anywhere these animals are in need. The number of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals is staggering and demands us to all do our part and to work together to help them.

Founders: Nancy Travis & Val Israel
Nancy Travis is passionate about animal rights and protection and has helped with various animal organizations and causes. Nancy is a well renowned actress and lives with her husband, two sons and two rescued dogs.

Val Israel has been doing independent animal rescue and working with other rescue groups for almost three years. She is a Hematologist/Oncologist and lives with her 3 dogs and 3 cats and often with additional fosters.
