Nellie's Story...

Nellie was born June 26, 2006. She is spayed, up to date on her shots and is micro-chipped and will require a fenced in yard. She weighs 12 pounds.

Nellie's past life she was used as a breeder dog, with very minimal physical contact with people, virtually never leaving her cage.

Nellie started the New Year off learning the joys of living in a home. She gets so excited when her foster mom sits on the floor with her, she will run around the house and plays with her toys but she especially loves to be held and have her belly rubbed. Her personality continues to blossom with each new day.

Now Nellie is anxious to find her own forever home, a family that will be patient and understanding with her, a home she can call her own and experience all the pleasures of being a loved family member.

I am only accepting pre-adopts at this time but if you would like to come visit Nellie she will be at PetSmart in Brighton on Saturdays, the adoption event is from Noon til 4p. If you have any questions or for a pre-adopt form please email me at TLOVEST2001@YAHOO.COM

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Last Chance Rescue was formed in 1997 in order to save animals that would have otherwise been destroyed at area shelters. Giving them a chance at a loving home. We are a very diversified group, saving over 27 thousand animals from kill lists and research selling lists. We provide medical, food, shelter and a loving home until a new family is found. We are a true "No Kill" shelter, while protecting the welfare of the general public.

We are volunteers and many of our animals are in foster care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Howell Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Howell, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
