Isaac's Story...
Isaac and his sister, Jessa, were surrendered by their original owners to a high kill shelter in Carrollton, Ga. HLHR stepped in to save them. Isaac is a chocolate and red merle, male, 11 week old, 15 pound, Australian Shepard/Labrador Retriever mix puppy. He is going to be large adult dog.

Isaac is gentle and shy, but will most likely turn out to be a very active and athletic guy. He is fully vetted (except for a couple more distemper/parvo booster vaccinations that he isnt old enough for yet), and will be ready for adoption around February 5th. His $175 adoption fee covers that.

For specific information about Isaac, please contact his foster Mom, Misty@hickorylevelhoundrescue.com or go to www.hickorylevelhoundrescue.com to fill out the adoption application.

*you will be asked to provide a veterinary reference, and in most cases must have a fenced in yard!!~

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Isaac, a Carrollton Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
