Mario's Info...
| Breed: | Poodle (Miniature) | Color: | Tan/Yellow/Fawn | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less | Sex: | Male |
Mario is a neutered male, apricot toy Poodle, DOB June 7, 2006. He weighs 7.1 pounds.
Mario has spent his entire life in a puppy mill with only an elevated cramped, unsanitary wire cage to call home. With very minimal physical contact with people, virtually never leaving his cage, never getting any affection or caring human interaction. All he knows are the close, cramped cages that confine him day after day year after year. His spirit broken. In these mills of mass breeding happiness or well being are of no concern.
Now Mario has a chance at a new start on life, where love is needed in large amounts but so is patience, time and dedication to help him blossom into a wonderful family member. Lovingly teaching him how to trust, proper house manners, how wonderful it is to play with toys, the joy of being petted, cuddled and loved.
Mario only knows the companionship of other dogs, therefore another dog in the household would be best and a fenced yard to keep him safe.
In his foster home Mario is learning house-manners, he sleeps at night snuggled to his foster mom and has quite a personality! If Mario wants to be held or petted he kicks out his back feet almost like stomping his feet and gives a short little arf! He is certainly a character, he loves loves loves to be held in your arms too, gently pawing you if you should stop petting him.
I am only accepting pre-adopt applications at this time for Mario, for further information contact Andrea at amcrawford@hughes.net
Mario will be at Petsmart in Brighton this Saturday from noon to 4 pm to meet.
Rescue Group Info...
Last Chance Rescue was formed in 1997 in order to save animals that would have otherwise been destroyed at area shelters. Giving them a chance at a loving home. We are a very diversified group, saving over 27 thousand animals from kill lists and research selling lists. We provide medical, food, shelter and a loving home until a new family is found. We are a true "No Kill" shelter, while protecting the welfare of the general public.
We are volunteers and many of our animals are in foster care.
For directions to all locations, please see our website at www.lastchancerescue.org
Dogs and cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart in Brighton on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 pm.
Some cats stay at the Luv-A-Pet center located in PetSmart in Brighton and can be seen during regular business hours.
All our pets have a number listed for more information. Arrangements can be made to meet that pet by calling that number.
Everyone must fill out a pre-adopt which will be reviewed at the time of the adoption.
If a puppy is not spayed or neutered, there is a contract to be signed stating that the puppy will be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. All adult dogs, cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We always take our animals back no matter how long ago they were adopted. A contract is signed stating that the animal must be returned to us.
We are located in Livingston County.
