Sydney's Story...
My name is Sydney and I am a year old. My foster mom fell in love with me the minute she saw my beautiful face. I curl up and fall asleep on her lap as soon as she sits down and follow her from room to room. I get along great with other dogs and cats.

In addition to being spayed and up to date on all shots, I am microchipped, have been tested for FeLV/FIV, checked for ear mites and treated with flea meds. You won't find a sweeter kitty than me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sydney, a Muskegon American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Muskegon, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muskegon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muskegon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muskegon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muskegon paves the way for another one to be saved.
