I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Look at me and my beautiful ebony fur with striped underneath markings. I am a lanky male teenage black cat who was born in May of 2012. I was born into a colony (near the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland) of about forty black and white cats, many of whom are as beautiful as me. My mommy, daddy, aunt, and many brothers and sisters were rescued too. My fur is lush and as soft as silk.
I am very intelligent, interactive with humans, and want your affection. If you want a big laugh, play with me and you will see my uninhibited self come out…I love to run around and around and around while chasing a swirling cat toy.
I am a really brave and special cat who has already proven myself as a champ. When I was about one, I was playing with a window blind cord and it became tangled around my chest. By the time my foster mom discovered me I was in shock because it had wrapped so tightly around my arms and my legs were numb. I spent a week in the hospital and they were not sure I would live or regain the use of my arms and legs. For two months, with medication and therapy, I crawled around on my back legs and elbows. I jumped up on things too. After 7 months, I can play, jump, climb my cat tree and walk on a narrow rail. Yet if you watch me closely you can see I use my paws differently than some cats. This experience made me a friendlier, more affectionate cat.
I get along very well with other cats. I have not yet had the opportunity to meet a dog but am sure I will like it once I get used to it. I would love the opportunity to come home, “spread my wings” and become your forever friend.
I am neutered, have had FVRCP and rabies shots, and test negative for FIV/FeLV.
