Nancy's Story...
Have you ever met a "Torbie?" That's a beautiful blend of a tortoiseshell and a tabby cat and that's ME! They call me Nancy and I have a luxurious coat with bengal spots of that beautiful blend! Check out my double dark necklace I have! And, also.... ta da.....I have gorgeous green eyes and flirty white whiskers! I had a family, but they dumped me when they ran out of love for me, so here I am. The Volunteers here really like me. I heard one of them call me "a really special cat with a fun-loving purrsonality." How cool is that? I love ear scritches and lots of petting. I'm inquisitive I have lots of love for that new special home I'm looking for and I hope you'll think I'm special too! The Cat Cuddlers here say I'm really "well-adjusted." They had fun with me when they brought me into the office and I just cruised around, checking everything out. Come on by and let's get acquainted! I'm in cage #119. Ya' can't miss me....I'm the Really Special Cat!....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancy, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
