Scooby's Story...
After Scooby's owner passed away he, and 7 other cats, were tossed outside to fend for themselves.

Scooby is a handsome and playful Buff & White Tabby with beautiful markings. He's really laid back and gets along fine with other cats. Scooby is very curious in his new surroundings and, when he's not exploring, he enjoys being petted and having his neck scratched.

Scooby is approximately 1 year old and looks like he's going to be a pretty big boy once he fills out. He was neutered on January 11th, has been treated for worms and fleas, and is up to date on his vaccines.

Adopting to South Charlotte and surrounding area only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Waxhaw American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Waxhaw, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waxhaw.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waxhaw already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waxhaw breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waxhaw paves the way for another one to be saved.
