Bridgette's Story...
Bridgette is all about love. When she met her foster family, she immediately curled up in the teenage boy's lap and began to purr. He was SOLD and she earned a temporary home until she's adopted. She's extremely adaptable and would be content with just about any home situation. She plays well with other cats and has excellent social manners. She's accustomed to dogs - there are two in her foster home. She is very neat at the litter pan and gentle with children. And she's beautiful! She has almond shaped eyes and a bright little face. We found Bridgette in a shelter and she reached out to our volunteer for help.....literally. From that moment, she has been a sheer delight and above all, we want he to have a safe, loving FORever home. To speak with her foster mom, meet her, and complete an application - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Bridgette is fostered in Madison, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bridgette, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
