Cornbread and his brothers, PintoBean and Grits(all sweet Southern boys) ,were dumped at a kill shelter. They are all such cute, sweet boys that the staff contacted rescue in hopes of saving them. They are almost 3 months and weighing about 15 lbs. As true to the Hound nature, these boys will be loving, loyal, really smart, and with a goofy sense of humor that will keep you laughing. Hounds actually make good house dogs and are great with children, and are fairly easy to house train. Although Hounds are not a real high-energy dog, they do need a place to stretch their legs and / or have regular long walks with their humans. These boys will be neutered before going to their new homes.

Rescue Group Info...
Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience.
