Smokey's Story...
COURTESY POSTING:
Unfortunately, Smokeys owners have to find a new home for her since the wife has recently developed a severe allergy to her. They adopted her as a baby kitten. She is about 1 ½ years old now and has been spayed and is up to date on her required shots.
"Smokey has received lots of love and attention from 5 children in the house ever since she was a baby kitten. She likes to play with objects like strings or feathers and enjoys a good game of "pursuit" with one of the kids (Smokey usually does the chasing). Though she is not exactly a lap cat, she enjoys being around people, loves to be petted on her neck and head and sleeps on the bed with one of the children every night. She also sits on the steps by the door awaiting the children's arrival home from school each afternoon. She is as much a loyal friend to them as they are to her."

This cat will be at THE ANIMAL RESCUE FORCE Petco adoption center on Rt 1 in Edison, south of Rt 287, in the Home Depot shopping center, open Sat & Sun, 11 to 4:30

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a East Brunswick Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in East Brunswick, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in East Brunswick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Brunswick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Brunswick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Brunswick paves the way for another one to be saved.
