Dakota's Story...
Dakota is a big happy boy who was returned to CARE because his adopter's household split up. Even though only one of his eyes works and he is a bit on the heavy side, he still has the interest and energy to enjoy life and be a great companion. In fact, Dakota is virtually a perfect dog, there's just a little bit more of him to love. He's on a diet now but he could use a new forever home where he could walk/exercise regularly as well as someone who cares enough to limit his food intake. Dakota is alert and listens well, is very obedient, and enjoys playing with his canine buddies. He especially loves to settle in with a nice bone for a good 'chew session'. He also will flop down and allow you to rub his belly or brush him in a heartbeat. Dakota is happy in his crate but would prefer a nice big fluffy dog bed if possible. He is completely house-trained and enjoys car rides. He is neutered and heartworm negative. If you think you could give Dakota a second chance at a forever home, please apply today and see how happy Dakota can be.
