Dakota's Story...
Dakota is a big happy boy who was returned a year ago to CARE because his adopter's household split up. Although he has fit in well at his foster home, he would still love to be someone's special boy. Even though only one of his eyes works and he is a large breed, he has actually lost almost 40 lbs. and is now pretty fit and trim for his age and he has the energy to enjoy life and be a great companion. Dakota is alert and listens well, is very obedient, and enjoys playing with his many canine buddies. He especially loves to settle in with a nice bone for a good 'chew session'. His nick-name is Whumpy because he will will 'whump' down and allow you to rub his belly or brush him in a heartbeat. Dakota is happy in his crate when needed but otherwise is content to settle down where ever you are. He is completely house-trained, never gets on the furniture, and enjoys car rides. He is neutered and heartworm negative. If you think you could give Dakota a second chance at a forever home, please apply today and see how happy it makes you feel to have a dog like Dakota in your life.
