Elvis's Story...
Elvis is in the building! LOL! Elvis is a small Standard American Eskimo Dog and quite the character! He has a very distinctive and unforgettable face with his under bite! :) Elvis is food motivated and takes treats so gently. He's a very sweet boy who needs to learn to trust his people. Elvis has had a tough past. He has had fear of being touched on his head, neck and feet, as well as fear of putting on collars and leashes. We have had a professional dog behaviorist and trainer working with Elvis; he is making GREAT progress!!! Elvis will require an experienced Eskie adopter, with a fenced yard and time to work with him. Once he trusts, he is a very devoted boy and will make an awesome companion!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Elmhurst American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
