My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our mom and us were taken from a hoarding situation. She is a sweet loving puppy. This nice rescue took in our mom and us to keep us safe until we were old enough to find forever homes of our own. This is so great we are in a foster home and learning and sociializing and still with our mom Lady. She is looking for her forever home too.

I am Journey, because my foster mom says all i do is journey all around the room explorying and being curious. I can't pay attention to eat I am so curious. Then my foster mom reminds me I have to eat and not be so nosey. I will be a wonderful puppy for a special family. No one knows my history but I should be about 15 lbs when full grown and I am dark salt and pepper in coloring.

At adoption time she will be over 8 weeks old. She is playful, learning to bark and discovered chewies and toys. Journey is in a foster home learning social skills and manners. She is still a puppy and will take a lot of training until she out grows the puppy stage. Journey is an adorable, with dark grey and white schnauzer markings. She is full of active energy, and ready to play. If you want a bundle of puppy love, this is your little girl. Schnauzers are smart, perky, full of personality, and don’t shed. They love to romp and play, and are active and curious.

Journey ’s foster Mom Terri will begin the house training process, but she can not be completely housebroken since she is still a young puppy. She is being fostered by Terri and her family in Lansing MI area. . Living in foster homes, our puppies are socialized, and training has been started for other skills. Journey ’s adoption $395 , plus an additional refundable $50 spay deposit. Send of proof of her spay by 6 months of age and we will refund your spay deposit.

All puppies adopted from RRR must be spayed/neutered. Our vet package includes an written vet exam, current puppy shots based on age, and deworming. We give you a record of these and any other procedures performed to provide to your own vet. In season, our rescued dogs are on flea/tick and heartworm preventives. When your puppy is spayed or neutered by 8 months of age, send us a copy of your vet’s paperwork as documentation, and your spay neuter deposit will be refunded. You will receive a lifetime prepaid microchip registration, and a 60-day limited trial for pet insurance from a third party. In addition, we provide our foster family’s notes on your dog’s routine, including food, schedule, and social skills. An adoption packet will be given to you at your adoption appointment, and includes other suggestions that will help you and your puppy establish your new relationship. We also have a Facebook page for our adopters, and we have a volunteer who can answer questions on training your new pet.

We are not a shelter—our dogs are cared for in foster homes by our volunteers. We do not ship or transport our dogs. You must drive to the foster home to meet your new pet. We only adopt to adjoining states to OH, PA, MI and within an 8 hour drive or our many foster homes... An adoption appointment is scheduled after you complete an online application, and are approved for adoption. We work on potty skills in foster care, including crate training, potty pad training, and use of exercise pens. Most dogs are potty trained by the time they are adopted—the foster mother can update you on the status of your dog’s skills at the time of adoption. Adopters must be prepared to continue training and socialization after adoption. Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers, and learn how you can benefit from the 9+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue.
