Holly is a beautiful, 2 y/o female who came to Houston Beagle Rescue from a local shelter. Holly is 15 inches tall and a perfect 26 lbs. She keeps her trim figure by patrolling the yard in an effort to keep invading squirrels at bay! Holly loves being out in the yard and it is hard to imagine how awful it was for her to be confined in a shelter for over a month.
Holly plays well with her foster siblings and enjoys a game of chase or tug of war almost as much as squirrel hunting! Holly is sleek and muscular, so is often the leader in the race around the yard or through the house! Holly does love to be near her people when it is time for a rest. She loves to get into your lap and soak up all the loving you can give. She can be a little wiggle-worm in her excitement over getting your attention, but soon settles down for a good belly rub!
Holly is house broken, dog door trained and will kennel quietly. Her house manners are great and she is rarely kenneled in her foster home. Holly is not a creature of habit when it is bed time. She will sleep on a dog bed, the couch or on your bed, if allowed. Holly curls up for the night where ever and is out for the count! Holly will bay at creatures seen through a window, so would not do well in an apartment. Holly would love a home with a yard and a buddy to play with, so apply today to meet this wonderful girl.

We are a small group of volunteers in the Houston, TX area who foster rescued beagles in our own private homes. We have no shelter facility. The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website, www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org, and then we will contact you regarding meeting the dogs.

We typically have meet & greet events on the second Sunday of each month, from around noon to 3:30 p.m. We will always bring several of the rescued beagles to that event, so look up the location of the month on our website, and come meet some adorable beagles!
The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website. We require an adoption fee ($225 for purebred beagles; $250 for pups age 8 mo. or younger; $175 for seniors 8 yrs +, beagle mixes, & special needs dogs) and an adoption contract. ALL dogs will be vaccinated and spayed/neutered before adoption!
