This sweet little guy is Toonie, a 4 year old min pin that is hoping for a fresh start in life. Toonie had a good home, but when his owner passed away unexpectedly, he found himself starting over and looking for a new home. Toonie is such a little love and doesn't let anything get him down. He is always so friendly and happy to meet people, and gets along great with everyone. Toonie is very well behaved too. He walks well on a leash but he also loves to run and play. Toonie would love a home with a nice yard to run laps in from time to time. He is very affectionate and would be thrilled to be a part of a loving family.....please make little Toonie's dreams come true! 1/15/13 File#22224

The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. We comprise three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls . Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park Zoo. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park Zoo is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, and Popcorn Park is also a federally licensed zoo. The Society prides itself on our devotion to the thousands of animals that we care for annually and the chance for a better life we offer them. Our animal shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday from 12pm to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.
We are the primary Animal Control for Barnegat, Waretown, West Creek, Surf City. We take in animals in need from all of the country.
