Peaches's Info...

Peaches's Story...
Peaches was surrendered when her owner became too ill to take care of her. The vet said she is fairly young and is in good health but is a little on the skinny side. She is on a seed/pellet trio mixture with millet as a treat. Because of her egg laying, she is also currently on a calcium powder supplement sprinkled on her food. She likes bananas, mango and papaya and she is trying new things each day, we are also introducing vegetables into her diet. Peaches is a wonderful singer and has come a long way from the frightened little fid she was when we received her. Peaches is shy but has shown that she wants to cuddle and bond with people and we are hoping that with patience and time, she will be willing to step up and be a cutie pie for the right adoptive family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peaches, a Tampa Lovebird was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lovebird for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Lovebird from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lovebird breeders who help with Lovebird rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
