My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

London is the cutest, and friendliest dog. He is a very well rounded and loving young dog who is well on his way to becoming the perfect family member. He is very friendly with everyone including dogs, cats, children of all ages and even guinea pigs! He is a young boy approximately 8 - 10 months old and weighs 35 lbs.

Here is what else his foster family had to say:

There is not any type of activity that London is not ready and up for. He also loves to cuddle; sitting on the couch or cuddling in bed. He still has a lot of puppy energy and is always on the go however he is extremely smart and a very quick learner. He is happy whether it’s going for a walk, going for a hike, running in the dog park, playing with other dogs or playing with his own toys at home. He is a wonderful pup who needs his new owners to be committed to continue his training and ensure he gets a good walk each day. London is an amazing dog who will make his forever family exceptionally happy.

London is an extremely social dog. He loves absolutely everyone he meets and is very eager to please. There aren’t any young children in my immediate family but I have many younger cousins that range from newborn to eight years old and was very gentle with all of them.

London is extremely well behaved when people are eating food around him. He does not beg or try to take the food; he either sits or lies down calmly. He has not gotten into anything he is not supposed to, but with that said; I have also not given him the opportunity to get into things as he is always in the same room as me. He is a very curious puppy that likes to investigate things. It is evident that London has not had a lot of obedience training but he is an extremely quick and eager learner and understands what is being asked of him. He learned how to sit in less than an hour and a half. He is a more on the quiet side in the home.

London used to view going outside as a fun adventure but he is quickly understanding that trips outside, while they are often fun, are the time for him to go to the bathroom. I say ‘London go for a pee’ and he is becoming much quicker with the time that it takes him to alleviate himself. I then reward him with praise and a treat which he looks forward too.

I have been using a crate with London when I am unable to watch him or when I am away from home. He does very well in the crate, especially when given a toy or a bone and waits patiently to be let out again. However, he has caught on that the crate means he will be left alone and needs a little encouraging to actually get into his crate.

I have been using a harness to walk London but he walks extremely well on a leash, and doesn’t pull. He does great in the city and would also thrive in the country. He is not fazed by cars, loud noises, other people or dogs while out on a walk. London does great in the car. He likes the car, jumps right in without hesitation, and waits to be given the ok to get out. He does not get car sick and behaves very well.

London would be an absolutely amazing family dog. He would be an asset to any family situation so long as he is with someone who is willing to put in the effort to train him because he has so much potential that is already flourishing, as well as to burn off his energy.

If you think London would be a good addition to your family, please submit an application for consideration
