Gracie's Story...
Meet Grace! She is about 2 years old and is one of the most friendly, people oriented dogs you will ever meet. She would love to be your best buddy and tag along with you on outings. She enjoys playing with toys and tennis balls. She will chase a ball and retrieve it, but hasn’t quite figured out to bring it back to the pitcher. She is a ‘shadow dog’ and would love to be by your side as much as possible. She does okay on the leash but sometimes in new places will get spooked so she wears a harness. She is 100% housebroken and doesn't need to be crated. She enjoys sleeping with you, if allowed, or laying at your feet while you sit at your desk. She enjoys playing dress up and doesn’t mind trying on outfits and getting her nails polished. She really the extra attention and she will strut her stuff after she’s been all dolled up. Her striking good looks makes her a standout without anything added, but it’s still fun. She tends to like to be the alpha dog when she is around other dogs so she would prefer to be an only child. Speaking of children, she loves them! She is definitely a people person and is very submissive. She will be your best friend and confidant. Grace is the perfect size to be a shadow dog as well. She is not so small that she can be easily hurt, or extra fragile and not too big that she cannot be carried when need be. If you would like a little Grace in your life, email INFO@FORrescue.net You will be glad you did. :)
Grace is current on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and is current on flea and heartworm preventative. She is being fostered near Huntsville, AL.

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
