Hi. I'm Meesha. Pit bulls like me may have a bad reputation... but I wouldn't hurt a fly. I love other dogs and in my previous home I lived with a cat! I know lots of commands and will do anything for a milkbone. I've been through obedience class and I am a really good girl! I weigh 50 pounds and have a cute personality. I love toys and playing outside is so much fun. I really am a sweetheart - come meet me! I'm sure you'll love me!

About Our Shelter...
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.

We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
