Hi there, my name is Nadine! I am a 2 year old Pit Bull Mix, who is housebroken and extremely sweet. I am used to being walked on a leash at potty time but I also do well in a fenced yard. My previous home crated me when I was left alone and I was ok with it for up to 8 hours. I've lived with men, women and have been exposed to visiting kids of all ages! Even though I did great with kids, I may be too active for very young ones. I will only tolerate getting a bath and haven't been taken out for many car rides. I didn't get along with the female dog I lived with but I did really well with the male! I really am a wonderful girl who loves playing with my toys on a blanket.

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
