Hi! My name is Bex and I'm a 6 year old Chocolate Lab mix weighing 61#. I am housebroken and crate trained. I love to sleep in my crate at night and sometimes lay in it during the day with the door open. I walk well on a leash and love to go for walks. I know basic commands. I like to go for rides in the car, especially to the beach where I love to swim. I get excited when people come to visit and may jump up on them but I'm friendly and love to play fetch. I have lived with a male cat years ago but would do best being the only pet in the home because I like attention. I do well with kids over the age of 12. Would love to have a forever home with you.

About Our Shelter...
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.

Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
