Dexter-Shepard/Basenji male puppy 6-7 mo. old 1-20-13

Dexter is an active, fun loving puppy, He's curious about life and loves to play. Dexter was found by Rescue Volunteers at a high kill rural shelter. He was getting sick, so was taken to the Vet and has made a total recovery, his true happy nature obvious by the twinkle in his eye! WE think Dexter is about 6-7 mo. old, and has some Shepard and Basenji mixed in his heritage. His adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Germantown Basenji/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Basenji/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Basenji/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
