Garrus's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I was a stray. I am a handsome all gray cat with stunning gold eyes. I am super social and love to be in the middle of the action. I never meet a stranger and think everyone is my friend. I am very active and curious. I will greet you at the door when you arrive home. I like to talk too and will tell you all about my day. Once I have tired myself out I like to lay in people’s laps and sleep. I purr really loudly the whole time I am sleeping. I don’t mind being picked up either. I enjoy playing with everything! If it is not a cat toy, I will make it into one. My favorite toys are string toys and stuffed animals. Watch out I think pens are toys too and will steal them from you! Come see me today! I was born in 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garrus, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
