Hope's Story...
Hope is an adorable little female puppy. Our best guess is that she is part shepherd/part hound, and approximately 4 months old as of the end of January 2013. She was found abandoned and brought to a local vet.

Hope was a little timid when these pictures were taken, but she is really warming up to the humans at the shelter. She loves to have her tummy rubbed, gives lots of kisses, and loves to play with her penmate, Faith.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Oakland Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
