Jes's Info...

Jes's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I was found as a stray on the streets. I am a handsome brown tabby. I am very affectionate and show my love all the time. I am a sweet boy that purrs and gives head butts. I want to be near you. I like to sleep with you and sit with you or on your lap. I don’t mind being picked up or held either. I like to be brushed and talked to. I like sitting in a sunny windows and watching all the critters outside. I am not sure what to do with toys, but hopefully in time I will figure it out and learn what great fun they are! I was in rough shape when I was found, but I am now in great shape and can’t wait to move into my new home. I was born in 2007.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jes, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
