Paxton's Story...
This set of puppies were brought into a shelter from a man that saw them being thrown off a bridge into the river. After he got them out of the water he didn't know what to do so he took them to the shelter. The man was so upset he could hardly speak but asked that they go to really good homes. They assured him that they would. We were there to pick up some other dogs and took them home. Estimated DOB 11.19.12
I need a loving, affectionate family who can help me grown into a wonderful adult dog...I hope you are that family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paxton, a Plainfield Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
