Bernie's Story...
Meet Bernie! This handsome boy is looking for a forever family. Bernie was found wandering the streets as a stray and needed a new start in life. So, he made his way to the Inn! At just around a year old and 30 lbs., he is a spunky little guy with an outgoing and charming personality. And he is a perfect age – past those pesky puppy behaviors, but still young and energetic enough to keep up with an active family. He loves everyone he meets – human and canine alike! Bernie would a great addition to any home!

Bernie dreams of finding a family who will love him and keep him safe. He’d even be willing to share it with a canine companion or two! If you would like to give Bernie his forever home, contact his adoption consultant, Sherry, at 216-798-9797 or foster4pawz@gmail.com for more information on meeting this sweet boy. Bernie can’t wait to go home!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
The Rescue Inn, Inc. ("TRI") is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.

We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals.

Our animals are spayed/neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care and are placed into a safe, secure foster home while waiting for their permanent home. We also strive to work with other area shelters and rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to enhance our rescue mission.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a North Olmsted Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in North Olmsted, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in North Olmsted.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Olmsted already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Olmsted breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Olmsted paves the way for another one to be saved.
