Shelter Info...
Animal Keepers Rescue is a non-profit - 501(c)3-, no-kill, all volunteer cat and kitten rescue. We are a small shelter dedicated to proving a safe haven to homeless, abused, unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. All are provided with vet care and we offer a spay/neuter program for all pets adopted from our shelter.
The volunteers at our shelter donate countless hours to help kitties in need because of their love for the wonderful furry creatures. It is not their fault that they are unwanted! By helping find homes for around 150 cats a year and by spay/neutering so they don't create more unwanted pets we are making the world a better place on kitty at a tie.
An appointment can always be arranged to see our cats and kittens either at our shelter or our foster mom's home. We also hold adoption events at Petco in Greensburg once a month, Walmart in Mt Pleasant and other venues. Please email, call or visit our website to see up and coming adoption events.
The Adoption donation for an adult cat is $80.00. This included spay/neutering, current shots and they are leukemia tested negative.
Kittens are $65.00 plus $30 for our neuter program or an additional $45.00 for our spay program. The spay/neuter program also includes all shots for the first year.
An adoption application must be completed to determine if you and the kitty you like are a good match.
We are located in Westmoreland County in PA and serve all surrounding areas. .
