Irene's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Irene's Story...
Back in March of 2010 not only did my people allow that marauding tom cat to get me pregnant--at an age so young my only worries should have been playing with feathers--they then committed the ultimate betrayal of planning to cruelly dispose of me. Fortune was smiling on me that day when a kind cat-loving woman snatched me from their hands. I’ve been at the shelter ever since hoping someone will notice me. I am a gray dilute tortie with lots of love to give. Please give me a chance. Est DOB 11-18-08. POSTED JANUARY 26, 2013.
Adopted March 2013.
Irene is back with us. Things did not work out in her new home. She is ready for the next chapter of her life. Irene loves a good belly rub and to be brushed. POSTED FEBRUARY 11, 2014.
Irene is one of the most social cats we have but she has Inflammatory Bowel Disease which scares some adopters. Irene's IBD can be controlled with special food and an occasional depo shot.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Irene, a Geneseo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
