Nissa's Story...
Summer 2013:

Miss Nissa has been incredibly busy this summer.

In June, Nissa went for her herding instinct test and she was a superstar!! A spectator was able to take video of Nissa's test. You can check it out on MBCR's Facebook page. Anyone looking to get into herding, please take a peek at Nissa. She has the smarts, determination and the drive. Learning to herd with her new family would be a great way to bond!!

Nissa has been off-leash in public swim areas, visited the motocross track, played “hose” with the pack unleashed in the yard, walked downtown main street, gone to the local farmers market and finally tried kayaking.

Check out MidAmerica Border Collie's website at www.midamericabcrescue.org to learn everything Miss Nissa has been up to this summer!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nissa, a Naperville Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
