Sylvester's Story...
Sylvester is a 7 mo old Shepherd mix, and weighs about 35lbs. Sylvester is an energetic, friendly, and cuddly puppy that loves the company of other dogs and people, but sees cats as more of a chasing toy than a friend. He is very fond of rawhides and is learning fetch with a ball and frisbee. Sylvester is an extremely smart puppy and has been clicker-trained to sit, lay down and shake but is still in the process of learning loose-leash walking. This pup is also being crate and house trained, so he has very few accidents and has learned quick. Sylvester needs stimulation to keep from developing any destructive habits, so he is an ideal dog for active owners or a family.

Sylvester was saved from a kill shelter and put into a foster home through our organization to give him more time to find a home. If you'd like to meet Sylvester, please email adopt@sarocks.org or visit us online at http://www.sarocks.org/ or facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvester, a San Antonio Vizsla/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Vizsla/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Vizsla/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Vizsla/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Vizsla/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
