Ellie's Story...
Meet Ellie – This sweet girl was found running down Elliott Street near Broadmoor Park in Greater East End Houston. She had neck wounds from a chain or rope. She was also underweight and you could smell infection from her wounds.

We took her to Gulfgate Animal Hospital. She is about a year old, approximately 45 lbs. She is a beautiful white and tan Staffordshire Terrier mix. She has received all of her vaccinations and was treated for her wounds.

Sadly we have her in boarding and would rather have her in a foster or adopted situation.

Please consider this sweet girl that broke away for a new life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Houston American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
