My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Reese, and I am a very special 13-year-old male neutered Labrador mix who has had a rough life. I ended up at a shelter after losing my way, and no one came looking for me. Young at Heart rescued me, and now I need a very special home that I can retire to where I will receive the love and affection that my past life obviously lacked. After being treated for a virus over the last few weeks at the vet's office, I just had a much-needed dental and I am now ready for placement. My blood work now looks good, but I'm an old soul, and I need someone with a big heart to open their home to me. I have arthritis and degenerative weakness of my hindquarters, which is already showing some improvement with Rimadyl, but will continue to progress with my advanced age. I am very sweet, but you can tell I've never been showered with love and affection. I am very unsure of love, which breaks everyone's hearts here at the rescue. I just want a soft bed, a quiet home, and a gentle touch to let me know I'm ok. I am ok with other calm dogs and, so far, I do not react to cats. I am housebroken as well. Are you the kind soul that can provide me with the love I deserves?
