Moby's Story...
Meet Moby. He’s a handsome Shepherd mix with a heart of gold!

Moby is a big boy, already weighing in at 70 pounds. Moby is in a foster home with other dogs and loves them all. He is so dog friendly! His foster family says he is housebroken and he loves going on walks and meeting new people (kids too!) and animals. We aren’t sure how he is with cats.

Our vet thinks he’s a little under a year, which means he has his whole life to shower his new family with lots of love. Poor Moby was found as a stray with no collar, tag or microchip. He was skinny, cold and scared too. When our volunteer found him, he ran into her arms and never looked back. He is ready for his forever home and can’t wait to be a part of a family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moby, a Santa Monica Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Dutch Shepherd for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
