Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chance was given the name "Second Chance" after he was rescued off a southern freeway by some good samaritans and brought into a local vet clinic. One of the vet techs has taken him home for foster and she says he is the sweetest dog ever! She is thinking he may be a jack russell mix, or maybe a bull terrier mix. You can tell he was someone's dog, not only by his sweetness, but by the stain on his neck from a too-tight collar. As is often the case, no one has claimed this little cutie. It looked as though he had been hit on the freeway because he was missing a toenail and had some scabs on his belly, but the vets checked him all over and he is perfectly healthy! One of his ears stands up and one flops over - how cute is that?
Chance is around 6 months old and weighs about 25 lbs; they are thinking he won't get much bigger. He can be a little shy with new people and new dogs but warms up quickly. He is crate-trained, house-trained and he is learning to walk on leash and is picking up on it quickly. He lives with older kids and is marvelous with them. He doesn't mind the cat in their home either.
Let's give this guy a "Third Chance" at a wonderful life!
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
